Charter Steel鈥檚 cut-to-length bar mill utilizes precision sizing to produce carbon and alloy steel bars for a variety of industries. Construction of the new mill, was built side-by-side with the existing coil-producing line, beginning in the spring of 2017. 聽Operations at the Cuyahoga Heights plant continued running uninterrupted during construction on a 24/7/365 shift schedule.

The project was completed in 2019 and represents the largest investment in the family-owned company’s 81-year history.聽 The new cut-to-length product adds capacity enabling Charter Steel to not only serve existing but expand to new customers who make fasteners and wire for automotive and parts manufacturers. RLG crews worked 50-60 hours per week to meet the fast-track schedule.
